SDA Department Revises Budget for Jatiluhur SPAM Project

The Waste Resources Department (SDA), revised the proposed budget for the Jatiluhur drinking water supply system (SPAM) project, from Rp 495 billion to Rp 168.7 billion during the discussion of the 2020 budget priorities and preliminary threshold (KUA-PPAS) along with the commission D, Monday (11/11).

This project is targeted to be finished by the end of 2020

SDA Department Head Juani Yusuf disclosed this revision was proposed because part of the project is the responsibility of the central government in this case, the Ministry of Public Works.

He explained the budget allocation amounting to Rp 168.7 billion was allocated for the preparation of basic design, construction management, auction process and a five percent down payment for the Jatiluhur SPAM project.

"This project is targeted to be finished by the end of 2020. The budget itself is proposed in stages for the next few years to procure clean water for the citizens," he explained.

In the meantime, the Commission D Chairwoman Ida Mahmudah exclaimed budget for SPAM project is reaching Rp 1.4 trillion.

"The funding of this project is multiyear until 2022. We ask them (SDA Department) to propose the budget according to the stages undertaken during 2020," he stated.
